If you shop at Mac regularly, you probably already know this trick. However for the girls who only go in occasionally, this might be worth a read..
Basically, Mac are trying to do their bit for the environment, and therefore have a 'Back to Mac' scheme. This is were you can take back 6 empty or unwanted products, and for every 6, you receive a free lipstick of your choice! It's fab if you go through a lot of their foundation or concealer because that means every couple of months you'll no doubt have 6 empties.
I usually keep my empties in a separate drawer and check every so often to see how many I have. In the past I've waited until I have 12-18 empties and picked up 3 lipsticks in one go. It's the best feeling walking out with free lipsticks! There are a few rules surrounding this scheme, I've outlined the main ones below for those who don't know.
- Empties must be either glass or plastic packaging and have to be full size - no cardboard, unsharpened pencils, or sample sizes.
- The lipstick you choose can only be from the standard range, not any limited edition or Viva Glam's.
- Lipsticks exchanged for empty products cannot be exchanged or refunded (so just check the lipstick is good to go before you leave the shop).
Most girls probably already know about this but hopefully if there's one person that didn't then you've found this useful!
Let me know if you use this program regularly, and of course what lipstick you chose this time!

Thanks for reading x
I think I'm in the minority of not knowing about this, this is amazing though!
